• Treasurer responsible for financial matters associated with payment of bills, accounts and the salary of the minister
• Banking (deposits, cheques and withdrawals)
• Purchasing of stationary supplies

Online Donations System

With an online donation system being introduced there is the possibility of credit card problems associated with gateway and processing. There is also a cost of obtaining a digital certificate for SSL (secure socket layer). Alternatively going solo through the assistance of the site www.paymate.com.au the security matters will be taken care of along with no monthly charges. There is a minimal fee for transactions. The most feasible option for the church then is to do the online donations with the services of Paymate.

Hall hire

The current system for the hiring of the hall by the Tongan congregation and the general public has proven successful over the period of time, along with the payment system, which has also proven effective whilst providing a steady income. However, this system will continue, but its details will need to be entered into a database that will exist online as it is necessary to avoid double booking. The hiring of the hall by the general public would be feasible as long as the database was used. The hiring by the Tongans would not go online as the current system with them is running well.

Placing Sermons Online

The production and distribution of sermons currently is in the form of tapes, which include a cost not only for their purchase but also for their postage creating an extra workload. The placing of sermons online in the form of speech is unfeasible due to the large size of the files, download time and Internet speed. However if sermons were placed online in a word-processed format supported by Acrobat Reader software then the file will dramatically reduce in size. This would become a much more feasible approach to introducing this opportunity. However training will be required for the purpose of uploading sermons online. The most feasible option then is to use a pdf format for the sermons that will be placed online.

Wedding Donations ("Obliged" payment)

Currently, "obliged" donations are received for weddings and will continue running in the current system. Allowing these donations to be received online is not considered feasible, as the current system is effective.

Weekly newsletter available online

A weekly newsletter presented online is feasible due to low maintenance and ease of use. Dual approaches to either receive information online or in the hand in paper format at sermons is also a feasible opportunity.

Technical support associated with the site, reported via email

Technical support is not feasible if it involves having someone to answer to enquiries continuously. A much more feasible application would be to provide email capability responding to concerns and problems that are site related.

Payment of bills via the site (ministers)

The payment of bills via the site is not feasible as the current system is adequate.
